Self-proclaimed women’s rights advocate Hillary Clinton cackled hysterically when a man told her he wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina at a town hall meeting Nov. 10 in New Hampshire (see video).
The burly male voter, a former military veteran, was furious after being laid off during Fiorina’s tenure as CEO of Hewlett-Packard years ago. “She says she was a great CEO,” the man told Hillary. “Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her.”
In response, an amused Clinton literally LOL’ed (laughed out loud). She then warmly smiled at the angry man and patronizingly quipped, “I wouldn’t mess with you!”
While a politician has no control over what individuals say during a voter gathering, critics say Hillary — who’s running on a platform to advance the rights of women and minorities — should have said something to express her disapproval of a man stating a desire to be violent toward a woman.
RNC spokeswoman Allison Moore said Clinton’s cackling showed she is not pro-women as she claims:
By laughing off a male questioner’s desire to strangle Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats have lost all credibility claiming to be a party that stands up for women.
Jokes about committing acts of violence against women are always in poor taste and should be condemned every time.”
A Clinton rep later claimed Hillary didn’t say anything at the town hall meeting because the man’s statement “was a joke.” But her indifference drew a harsh rebuke from conservative group American Crossroads:
She loves to play the ‘war on women’ card when it helps her get votes, but when she stands to lose a single voter by condemning his comment about ‘strangling’ a women, Hillary is more than happy to go right along with his tasteless and inappropriate joke.”
Meanwhile, Hillary was quick to condemn Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as a misogynist when he made a comment about Carly Fiorina’s face in September 2015.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Trump said about Fiorina: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?” Hillary slammed Trump on Twitter, saying he should “start respecting” women.
This isn’t the first time Clinton has laughed about violence. Hillary has been widely criticized for lying about the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack that killed former ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans (including two Navy SEALs).
At the Benghazi Senate hearings in October 2015, Clinton was asked why she ignored more than 600 e-mail pleas from Ambassador Stevens begging for more security at the U.S. Embassy in Libya in the months preceding his murder by radical Islamic terrorists.
Hillary said she thought Stevens’ 600 desperate email pleas were jokes. “One of the great attributes that Chris Stevens had was a really good sense of humor,” said Clinton. “And I just see him smiling as he’s typing this.”
