As former United States Secretary of State as well as former First Lady Hillary Clinton campaigns so diligently to come across as one of us regular folks in the country, she got caught being her elitist self, according to Market Watch on Wednesday. Unlike the people she is campaigning too, she got herself a $600 haircut. But, in an elitists’ style, it isn’t known if she even had to pay for the costly cut of the locks.
Mrs. Clinton got caught putting a portion of Bergdorf Goodman on lockdown on Friday. The portion of the venue that was put out of reach to common folks was the incredibly classy John Barrett Salon. Reportedly, with a huge entourage following the leading 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, Clinton was brought in the store – located on Fifth Avenue in New York City – through a side entrance.
One entire side of Bergdorf’s had to be closed off by staff so that Mrs. Clinton could come in via a private entryway to get her locks done. She was allowed to ride up an elevator alone as an elevator bank was totally closed down. After utilizing the private entrance created for her, she had her hair styled in a private part of the salon. While other customers weren’t allowed to see her, she was later seen in public with a new feathered hair style. While it isn’t known what Hillary Clinton paid for the service, it is known that salon owner John Barrett – who owns the salon – charges $600 for a cut and blow dry. Additionally, hair coloring costs an extra $600.
Clinton’s hair and the people who service it came up during Mrs. Clinton’s current email scandal. Emails referred to “Santa” which raised many questions – until it was learned that Santa Nikkels is simply one of Mrs. Clinton’s hairdo professionals. And not to forget, 17 years ago, her husband – then President Bill Clinton – was caught up in a hairdo scandal of his own.
Bill Clinton got a $200 haircut on Air Force One at LAX. That hair appointment took an hour as runways were shut down which cause a number of flights to be diverted. At least his wife doesn’t tie up airplane traffic by getting her hair done at a salon.
One will recall that last year Hillary Clinton said the couple is broke. Maybe a first step to changing that alleged financial state would have been for both of them to get their hair cut like most Americans – at a place that charges under 20 bucks or so. But, in all fairness, according to CNN, Mrs. Clinton did say she regretted having ever said they’re broke – after being embarrassed into admitting that they are, in fact, doing quite well with their millions.
