Quest Nutrition is currently the leading high protein bar of the sport supplement industry for its delicious taste and texture in addition of being widely available. Although our love of Quest bars won’t wear off anytime soon since the company is constantly creating new flavors every once in a while, that doesn’t mean they are the only high protein bar without the added junk. There are a few high protein bar brands in the market that haven’t receive the widely accepted recognition it deserves that we should know more about. Some offer different flavors not included in the Quest bar line, some offer more protein. The bars we have found offer at least 20 grams of protein in addition of being made from all natural materials. Whether you are an on the go working professional such as a wedding photographer or brand ambassador who are a fan of Quest, why not try these bad boys for a munch.
Note: We have received these bars from the combination of samples and own purchases in order to fulfill the criteria for the type of bars that can size up to Quest Nutrition. Regardless of how the bars are received, these reviews by no means are influenced by any company or source.
Pro Bar Base (Variety Pack)
Based in Utah, ProBar values itself in creating a high protein bar that values its mostly organic and sustainable ingredients that are sourced from whole foods. Non-GMO, gluten free and packed with 20 grams of protein, this makes a perfect post-workout snack for anyone who prefers a protein source of soy instead of whey. Although the texture of the bars is more dry and crispy compared to the chewiness of Quest, Pro Bar Base offers Chocolate SuperGreens flavor and Coffee Crunch, which is not found in Quest Nutrition. Oh and Chia and Flax Seeds. The Chocolate Mint was the favorite.

B-UP (Variety Pack)
Can we have an order of a protein bar that is high in protein and fiber, but low on sodium, sugar and carbs? This would be an ideal customized bar for someone who is into bodybuilding, but sadly we don’t know any nutritional companies that you can customize your bars made to order. However, B-Up bars does fit the bill in offering what is listed above plus the flavors are amazing and compare very well with Quest bars due to the chewy and soft texture. YUP brands do have both amazing taste and unique flavors such as sugar cookie to go with that 20g of protein, this a great Quest bar alternative itself.

22 days Protein Bars:
Perhaps our favorite protein bar in the list, 22 Days Nutrition has made a protein bar that not only looks enticing from the moment you plop your hands on its gold-wrapped bars but the message behind the company in addition to its all-star endorsements. 22 Days Nutrition strongly believes that foods should be made from the best ingredients to satisfy your body, but challenge other leading bars of the mindfulness of what it is inside their labeling. Although there are only four flavors including the PB + Chocolate Chip, Almond Butter Chocolate Chip, Coconut Chocolate Chip and Quinoa Chocolate Chip Crisp, each of them is made from organic ingredients such as Organic Cocoa Butter and Dates. This is the company that is currently endorsed by Beyonce. We can see why she chose this bar as part of her vegan diet. Personally, the texture and taste of the bars are better than Quest, especially for chocolate lovers. Hopefully, we can do an extended comparison with these bars to Quest shortly.

Updated: Rise Bar
Although I am constantly on the move to try out new products, only a few converted me to a fan. Rise Bar is one of the few bars that not only has the 20 grams of protein, but also the combination of simple and organic ingredients. The texture, similar to a Quest Bar is chewy and moist and does come with unique flavors proprietary to the brand including their best selling flavor, the Almond Honey Protein Bar. Made with pea protein isolate and that each bar is made with five real food ingredients or less, this is a must have for those who need high protein that is not whey, this is a pea protein option that is also vegan.
