Christmastime brings joy to everyone that likes to view Christmas lights and in Nashville, there are many events during the Christmas season with one of the sights to experience being The Dancing Lights of Christmas at Jellystone Park. Located at the Yogi Bear’s RV Resort on Music Valley Drive, near the Gaylord Opryland Resort and the Opry Mills Mall, is a drive-thru light display that is not to be missed. Proudly sponsored by the local radio station The Big 98 WSIX, the Christmas lights are synchronized to music which can be accessed on your vehicle radio noted at the Park’s entrance.
This will be the sixth year of the Christmas light display at the park. The light show continues the tradition of music based on the reason for the Christmas holiday and rocking Christmas tunes. With hundreds of thousand of lights that will dance to the music, the park is a joy for anyone. While at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park guests can stop at the end of the light display and visit Fox 17’s Santa’s Workshop for some hot chocolate or food, visit with a reindeer, see the petting zoo, watch kids enjoy inflatable jumping spots or meet with Santa.
The Dancing Lights of Christmas at Jellystone Park opened on November 6, 2015 and will run until January 3, 2016. The display will be open all holidays and will be performed rain of shine. It is open nightly at 5:00 PM and remains opened until 10:00 PM with extended hours on the weekends and holidays. For $25 for a vehicle (cars, trucks or church vans) and $50 for commercial vehicles the light display continues to grow yearly.
On Mondays and Tuesdays thru December 8th bring at least 3 non perishable food items and receive $5 off admission as the Dancing Lights begins their annual Second Harvest Food Drive.
