Younger people may not remember the creepy “Talking Tina” doll, but oldsters will. The Talking Tina doll appeared on an episode of The Twilight Zone and frightened the life out of a nasty bully stepdad (played by Telly Savalas). Pull-string dolls with mechanical voice boxes were common toys. The pull-string hung down the back and when pulled, the string would unwind a mechanism that made sounds as it rewound.
So obviously, a Talking Tina doll needs a pal if these are Halloween couples costumes. So make him Talking Timmy. For a Talking Tina doll costume, you will need a little dress, nightgown, short skirt and blouse or shorts and top. Talking Timmy needs shorts with suspenders or overalls. Doll clothes should not be sexy per se, but it should be Kewpie baby doll-ish). The dress should include white bloomers (made from old white extra large underwear), tights or knee socks and flat shoes or Mary Janes. The little boy doll can have bare legs, socks and tennis shoes. He should wear large white criss-crossed tape on his knees for his owies.

Pin the ribbon to the inside front of your pants, bring the ribbons over your shoulder and cross in the back. Pin in the back like suspenders.
