A Halloween costumes 2015 sale via the Amazon website is currently giving customers a percentage off their orders. The retailer is offering a special discount code until Sunday for customers to save 20 percent off their eligible costumes, accessories, masks, wigs and other costume items. Among the popular choices available are everything from pirates to Star Wars to superheroes and some of the top selections for kids this coming holiday.
On Sept. 30, Holiday Gift Nation reported that the sale requires entry of a special code “TRICKTREAT” at checkout on eligible items. The site indicates that some of the “on sale” costumes include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Big Hero 6, Batman, Maleficent, Steampunk, flappers and “Star Wars The Force Awakens” costumes. The sale extends to items that are sold by Amazon and shipped through the retailer. As noted, the costumes sale will last until Sunday, Oct. 4, and then the discount will no longer be offered per Amazon.
A Sept. 28 report via Washington Post discusses just how much Americans spend on the holiday, as 157 million people are expected to participate in the festivities with spending as high as $6.9 billion. That’s down about a half billion dollars from the year prior. In terms of the most popular costumes parents will likely be shopping for to get the kids, chart toppers include Batman, Minions, Princesses, Disney’s “Frozen” costumes and “Star Wars” characters. Many of these are being sold via the Amazon sale mentioned above, allowing parents to realize some savings ahead of the October holiday.
