Fans of Universal Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) have a lot to look forward to this year. The Orlando theme park is celebrating its 25th year of HHN with a lineup of more nights, haunted houses and scare actors than ever before to thrill, chill and terrify guests.
The ultimate Halloween event, HHN has terrified and entertained guests from around the world for nearly 25 years. The streets of the park are transformed into expertly themed scare zones where scare actors lunge and lurk from every darkened corner.
Multiple movie quality haunted houses are erected throughout the event, based on everything from slasher films and hit horror television series to haunting original movies. HHN runs from September 18 to November 1, 2015 and invites guests to dive into the horror movie worlds of Freddy and Jason, the supernatural realm of “Insidious,” the zombie-infested world of “The Walking Dead” and a myriad of terrifying mazes.
“Insidious” comes to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2015
This fall, it’s not necessarily the house that’s haunted … It’s YOU. Universal Orlando Resort has teamed up with Focus Features and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to create all new mazes based on the “Insidious” film franchise. The third installment of the supernatural film, “Insidious: Chapter 3,” has recently hit theaters.
Guests at HHN will be transported into some of the most sinister scenes from all three movies. Guests will investigate unexplained phenomena in the Lambert family’s eerie Victorian home as they find themselves at the séance that unleashes chaos and horror. They will then journey into “The Further,” a supernatural world that is home to tormented spirits, and face deadly ghosts and demons like the Woman in Black and Red-Faced Demon, which will stop at nothing to infiltrate the world of the living.
“The Walking Dead” returns
AMC’s wildly popular series, “The Walking Dead,” is returning to HHN at Universal Orlando. Guests must escape the terror of the undead as they navigate their way through three-dimensional scenes of “The Walking Dead” set. The Terminus safe-haven compound is the starting point. An unspeakable hunger has consumed the souls of those living within and chaos ensues as guests encounter even greater terrors as they come face-to-face with dismembered walkers and witness the horror of victims being taken by the living dead. Finally, they will step onto the loading dock of the Del Arno Food warehouse to face hordes of walkers.
Freddy and Jason battle it out at Halloween Horror Nights
Two of the most feared horror movie villains have come to life at Universal’s HHN 2015. Freddy Krueger, from “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” and Jason Voorhees, from “Friday the 13th,” are the stars of a new haunted house. Guests will experience a battle of evil vs. evil in the Freddy vs. Jason haunted house/maze.
In the Freddy vs. Jason house, guests will walk through Elm Street and into Freddy Krueger’s nightmares, visit Camp Crystal Lake and come face-to-face with Jason, witness iconic movie kills (and maybe become the next target) and fight to survive the battle between the two movie terrors.
