Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent a letter to President Barack Obama today, Monday, November 16, 2015 informing him that the State of Texas will not accept any refugees from Syria in the wake of the deadly Muslim terrorist attack in Paris. Abbott further penned to Obama that accepting Syrian refugees “irresponsibly exposes our fellow Americans to unacceptable peril” and the Lone Star State won’t be a party to it, according to the Austin American Statesman today.
Abbott also expressed concern about the fact a “Syrian refugee” appears to have been part of the Paris attack. He also noted that American compassion could be exploited to expose Americans to similar deadly danger. The Wichita Falls, Texas, native further urged the president to “halt your plans to allow Syrians to be resettled anywhere in the United States.”
Abbott, who was the top law enforcement officer for several terms as Texas Attorney General, is taking a position that only makes common sense in the wake of ISIS exploding a Russian airliner and murdering innocent civilians in the streets of Paris. Before that they were running rampant throughout Syria, Iraq and Libya beheading Christians and anyone else they hated. The Muslim invasion of the West, including the United States, has commenced. But this isn’t the first time it’s been attempted by Muslim insurgents.
History reminds us the Muslims invaded Spain, Portugal and even parts of France and were on the verge of conquering Europe before they were turned back. On another occassion Muslims invaded Eastern Europe and were at the gates of Vienna, Austria before they were defeated. This time the invasion has been more subtle as they have taken over sections of France where the police fear to tread. Muslim power has also increased in England without any opposition.
Even the United States has been penetrated by the ISIS invaders. Recently there was an attack in Irving, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Other Muslims in Texas are already setting up Sharia law in certain parts of the state in defiance of the United States constitution which was once respected as the law of the land.
In 711 the Moors, who were Muslim inhabitants of Maghreb, invaded the Iberian Peninsula from North Africa. That invasion allowed the Muslims to rule Spain, Portugal and Septimania. These Muslims also conquered Mazara on Sicily in 827, according to Wikipedia. It wasn’t until the fall of Granada in 1492 that the Muslim ruled ended in the Iberian Peninsula. The Muslims weren’t expelled until 1609 from Spain.
Abbott isn’t the only governor to deny the president’s plan to unleash 10,000 Syrian “refugees” over the next year in the U.S. Governors of 15 other states have joined with the statesman from Texas who has a better historical perspective than the Administration. The Islamic State brutally shed blood in the streets of Paris when it murdered 129 people.
Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have been vociferous in their criticisms of Obama’s plan to re-settle the multitude of potential ISIS agents inside the U.S. As the philosopher Santayana once said, those who fail to learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat it. The Roman Empire dissolved once waves of immigrants crossed its borders unchecked.
It’s time for people to wake up while the United States is still a country. A nation without borders cannot long exist. Texas is fortunate Greg Abbott is a strong leader and believes in enforcing the immigration laws of the land while the U.S. still exists.
