Briggs: “Guys, Mike didn’t ask for drugs. He didn’t ask for cash. He asked for Odin Rossi, and we are bringing him.”
“Savior Complex” is the August 13 episode of “Graceland.” Reminder: this article has spoilers, so read at your own risk. Be sure you check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. “Graceland” airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. central on USA.
Gusti has returned, and he’s full of pep talks and inspiration. He told Mike that drugs are bad, and he was adorable doing it. Mike has now heard his coworkers concern, and now his own case told him to get his act together.
Weirdly enough, it was his vision that got him clean. It was the universe knocking Mike upside the head in the form of a rehab card featuring Mike’s red birds. The universe is tricky.
This theme of what Mike saw when he died has been an unusual thread throughout this season. It’s been the thing that kept him on course, found him a case, and made sure he knew what was important in life. What will it lead to next?
Mike called on Odin Rossi to help him out. This was a fun nod to the past. It was always an unusual way to get Gusti to suspect Mike. While Mike did what he had to do to get out of the situation and save the case, Gusti’s got suspicious. Do you think Gusti’s really out and going back home?
Odin being in this episode was a reminder that Briggs can be that guy who goes outside the law. Briggs has played nice recently, but that dark streak never completely goes away. Having Odin and the kidnapping occur in the same episode was a really smart choice.
Charlie’s operation took an unexpected turn – Germaine is an informant for the ATF. Basically, everything she went through was for nothing. It’s not hard to imagine why Charlie lashed out at Amber because she lost her baby for nothing. She couldn’t even catch Germaine to somehow make that loss mean something.
Where do we go from here? Is the whole storyline done? It was an abrupt and unexpected ending. We saw that the people Amber, Charlie, and Jakes dealt with were arrested, so everything seems to have wrapped up. What did you think of this ending?
This means that Charlie and Amber’s time together is over, which is too sad to think about. Amber and Charlie’s friendship is definitely one of the best things about this season. Did anyone else tear up when Charlie sent Amber an origami frog?
