Hawn just embraces aging, and lives her life acknowledging that she can’t change the fact that she is getting older. Goldie Hawn is quite the interesting woman. At 69 years old, Goldie has recently opened up about how she embraces the aging process according to a Monday, June 1 report from People.
“Getting older is a fact of life,” she tells Porter in their June issue. “By living mindfully you understand that there are many transitions in life. You just go through them.” Goldie Hawn has acknowledged that when it comes to aging she might as well just roll with it, since she can’t change the fact that she is getting older. Sounds like solid advice. So many celebrities go about their days seeking out ways to stop the aging process.
Though some may find a way to slow it down a bit, but most spend their time, energy and money fighting a losing battle. In the end they find that they have only added to their burdens and have not really lived their lives at all. Goldie Hawn reveals the key to her happiness is perspective. The mother and grandmother of five reveal happiness and life is all “about what you make it.” Hawn believes in living a Zen attitude on life and credits it to helping her maintain the 32-year-long relationship with actor Kurt Russell.
Goldie reveals “a lasting relationship isn’t about marriage. It’s about compatibility and communication. Goldie also uses the same approach in life with her children especially daughter Kate Hudson. Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson have been compared to being more like sisters that mother and daughter over the years. The two women pride their selves on their close relationship and admit that they are sometimes more alike than even they can see some days.
The two women have admitted that they share a very special and sometimes frightening trait. They have stated that they both have a fifth energy. Meaning Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn claim that they have seen ghosts. Not only did Kate say that she’s experiencing these feelings from beyond, but she also said that she follows a certain protocol when this sort of thing happens to her.
“Me and my mum Goldie can see dead people… It is not really seeing, it is feeling a spirit; a fifth energy. I believe in energy. I believe our brains can manifest into visual things,” Kate shared. “When you see something, you are supposed to tell the energy what year it is and that they don’t belong there… When your brain is freaking out on you, you may have to remind it. Why is being dead funny?”
In 2014 Kate Hudson made news headlines with her ghost stories. While Kate didn’t go into too much detail about what happens when these spirits come to her, she was very serious about the experiences she said that she had. Kate and Goldie both believe in ghosts and allege that they have each had experiences with people who have “crossed over.” It appears that Goldie Hawn really has life figured out. Better to accept life and it’s challenges and move on than fret day to day over the things that can not be controlled. What do you think about Goldie Hawn’s Zen views on living and embracing life?
