Garden Walk Buffalo Niagara 2015 runs throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region from Saturday, June 20th through Saturday, August 8th – seven weeks of gardening fun, sales, garden walks, tours and more. Here are a few things to check out over the next few weekends, taking you through the Independence Day holiday.
- Parkside Community Association’s Garden Tour and Architectural Walk – Sunday, June 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Parkside neighborhood of Buffalo. Pick up garden tour booklets ($8) at Church of the Good Shepherd, 96 Jewett Pkwy. and take an optional narrated walking architecture and history tour ($10) at noon or 2 p.m.
- Garden Art Sale – Sunday, June 28th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Delaware Park Lodge (in the footprint of the Parkside Garden Tour). Featuring items to put in and around your garden as well as experts from area plant societies. Find a list of participating vendors here.
- Celebration of Coleus & Color – now through August 2nd at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. in Buffalo. Inside and out, the Gardens will be bursting with color. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (55+) and students (13+ with ID), $5 for kids 3 to 12 and free for members and kids under 3.
