The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina died on Sunday at a hospice facility just north of Atlanta. According to reports The Browns and Houstons are trying to finalize funeral plans however the families don’t seem to be in agreement on some of the details of the funeral. People.com reports that Bobbi Kristina’s family of are not “On the same page”. The website indicates that there are conflicts behind the scene. Initial reports said that the funeral would be held in New Jersey, now funeral plans are set for a funeral service in Atlanta with a burial in New Jersey on Monday.
Brown 22 was found face down in a bath tub at her home in Roswell, Georgia. Brown died six months after being discovered unresponsive. Her family sat vigil by her bedside for weeks praying for a miracle that never came. All the while the media set up camp outside of the hospital and the hospice photographing the comings and goings of both the Brown and Houston families.
The initial portion of the autopsy has been completed. The autopsy does not show an obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted. No previously unknown medical conditions that could have contributed to death were identified. Additional laboratory testing will be performed. Subpoenas have been issued to obtain needed documentary information. We do not plan to complete the death certificate or determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s preliminary autopsy found no significant injuries; which isn’t at all surprising since the initial incident happed six months ago. The medical examiner will most likely rely on crime scene evidence, medical records and lab results to determine exactly what happened on January 31.
Bobbi Kristina’s funeral will be held on Saturday August 1 at 11 a.m. in Alpharetta at St. James United Methodist Church. Brown’s burial will be in New Jersey where final resting place will be beside her mother Whitney Houston. Both services in Atlanta and New Jersey will be private.
There is still an open investigation into the incident that led to Bobbi Kristina’s death. Brown’s estate had already filed a lawsuit against Nick Gordon alleging he abused her and took money with permission before she died.
