On Saturday, October 17, the University of Houston Clear Lake’s Autism and Disabilities Center will have their next lecture for the 2015-2016 speakers series with a presentation by Kally Luck called ‘Teach Your Learner to Listen Using the Basics of Applied Behavior Analysis.’ The presentation will be in Room 1510 (Garden Room) in the Bayou Building at UHCL from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.During the lecture, Luck will introduce the audience to strategies that can be used to teach learners to listen. Luck will focus on increasing learner motivation, using three-step prompting, and delivering reinforcement effectively. She will also cover trouble-shooting of potential problems that occur during the use of ABA.
The free presentation is for all interested parties. It is intended for parents, professionals, educators, and students. CEUs are available for educators who attend. Complimentary lunch will be provided by Jersey Mike’s Subs.
