Fashion Group International (FGI) of Arizona will present “Apparel Manufacturing from A to Z,” an informative workshop and networking event for local fashion-industry startups, designers, artists, and students.
The event will leverage the experience of industry experts to help attendees navigate the choppy waters of Arizona’s fashion apparel industry. There will be networking, presentations, a tour of Diego Milano’s manufacturing facility, and a raffle for a $120 LabelHorde directory listing for your business.
Local designer and Regional Manager for FGI, Angela Johnson, explains on her facebook page: “This is going to be one of the most informative FGI events we’ve done. If you are a design entrepreneur starting your own brand or trying to jump into manufacturing, this is a must attend event. I’ll be doing one of my presentations on the manufacturing process and the obstacles faced when trying to manufacture in AZ. We will also be touring the denim manufacturer Diego Milano to see the beautiful facility that they have put together in order to manufacture their jeans in AZ.”
The organizers ask that attendees help at-risk teen girls by bringing new or gently used items or a $10 Target gift card to be donated to the non-profit Florence Crittenton organization. Per the website, this charity is designed to “offer a comprehensive continuum of care designed to help at-risk girls from 10 to 21 overcome issues of abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy, teen parenting, and behavioral and/or mental health problems.”
