As expansive as Liberty Station is, the property hasn’t always been used to its fullest potential. Until now. Following on the heels of the planned opening of Liberty Public Market, the Point Loma neighborhood has plenty of holiday events in store come December.
Who says San Diegans can’t enjoy time on the ice skating rink, even if the temperatures might possibly still be in the 70s? “Fantasy On Ice” (relocated from Horton Plaza) opens Thursday, November 19th and gives skaters a chance to hit the ice through Sunday, January 3rd from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Ticket prices range from $10-$14 with proceeds benefiting The Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children’s Hospital.
On Thursday, December 3rd from 6-8 p.m., the first annual Common Good Holiday Party will give holiday shoppers a chance to peruse unique ideas for their gift giving this year. Tickets are $10 and include an Old Harbor Distilling cocktail and pours from Lagunitas Brewing. Vendors in attendance will include: Mr. B’s Necessities, Old Daughter Paper Co., Dear Darling Calligraphy Co., and Miho Catering. Preview the full list here. San Diegans love to shop local and with so many wonderful vendors and artisans in the city, why wouldn’t we?
