Zendaya Stole the Show
Actress Zendaya showed up to Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” with her parents and singer/actor (and bestie!) Trevor Jackson wearing what she called her “uniform”: a leather Urban Outfitters jacket, plain white tee, faded jeans and Chanel sneakers. Since her style almost always meets comfort, she’s also a huge fan of New Balance’s Vazee Rush running sneakers – in black and white, of course! A huge fan of simplistic jewelry, Zendaya often layers bracelets and even turned one of her necklaces into a bracelet. She was rocking a necklace designed by her father, which matches his. Also known by the nickname “Cut-Throat” in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, Zendaya held true to her name when she wrote “Slay” on a Simmons Beautyrest pillow. When asked how she became friends with Taylor Swift she mentioned that Taylor “just randomly texted” her and the two hit it off from there. As far as her beauty routine, she does her own eyebrows and “doesn’t allow anyone else to touch them,” but did love how Sania Vucetaj of Sania’s Brow Bar helped fill them in. She also is a strong believer in taking vitamins to “feel good”, so was thrilled to learn that Centrum had VitaMints -a multivitamin that also serves as a minty refresher.
Before heading out, Zendaya took notice of Cottonelle’s “Go Commando” campaign, which promotes a clean and confident lifestyle and scored some Le Mieux Skin Perfecter product to cleanse and exfoliate her naturally beautiful complexion, which she “couldn’t wait to try.”
Actress Jane Lynch showed up to Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” in a super great mood. The always popular Lynch checked out Centrum VitaMints, the new multivitamin you enjoy like a mint – and got playful with their life-size jenga game.
Felicity Huffman, “American Crime” actress and 2015 Emmy nominee for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie” exuded grace and class during the Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge”. The former “Desperate Housewives” star gushed about partner (and fellow Emmy nominee) William H. Macy, explaining that she’s spending time with her family leading up to the big event and that she “wishes that [the Emmys were] a big party without the contest – everyone deserves their nominations.” While slipping on a pair of New Balance Vazee Rush sneakers, Huffman expressed that she was excited to be on site in support of the Susan G. Komen foundation and that she loves to run consistently. Huffman recharged with a quick trial of a Simmons Beautyrest mattress and also discussed her upcoming role in the next Harry Potter film to debut – she’ll play Snape’s sister, the headmistress of a private school. Huffman also pulled items from Jill Reno Collection Jewelry for her appearance at Friday’s Variety Women in Film party.
Stunning Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox walked into Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” at The London exuding confidence in sky high red heels. Fresh off the set “from work”, Cox immediately took a liking to New Balance by trying on some Vazee Rush sneakers and apparel. While looking in the mirror, Cox fell in love with her sleek flat look, saying that she may just need to ditch the heels permanently! As New Balance was making a generous donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation on behalf of the talent that stopped by, Laverne was very moved to be a part of it. After grabbing her kicks, she learned more about the new Luxe on-demand valet service app and mentioned that she was moving to Los Angeles soon, so would need to learn how to “actually drive”. Later Cox relaxed on a Simmons Beautyrest mattress, browsed the nail wrap art at Jamberry, and noshed on some Sabra hummus.
Funnyman Anthony Anderson lit up the room at Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge”. Accompanied by cast mates Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi and Miles Brown, the breakout “Blackish” star and 2015 nominee for “Lead Actor in a Comedy Series” brought his screen-family together once more for pillow talk while seated on a Simmons Beautyrest mattress. Anderson and Brown rocked color-coordinated powder blue jackets and pants, teaming up together to explore the area on Hovertrax by Inventist and battle with WowWee REV app-controlled cars. The engaging Anderson even joked with staff, shouting, “Hey Drake! What are you doing here?” to an onlooker nearby. Soon after, Anderson joined Shahidi for a quick manicure from Jamberry, flaunting his salon-quality touchup while mingling with guests late into the evening and pretending to be their on-demand valet with the LUXE app.
Vita Mints + Beautyrest = a Self-Balanced Diet Former “American Idol” contestant Chris Daughtry attended Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” and was immediately enamored with Hovertrax by Inventist. Shouting, “I need this in my life!” the singer tested out the original, self-balancing personal transportation device and busted into a quick falsetto rendition of “Thriller.” Soon after, Daughtry played a quick game of Jenga with Gilles Marini and contemplated the science of his daily dosage of Centrum VitaMints with a silly science joke: “Potassium? Where does the K come from?” After his Hovertrax workout, Daughtry grabbed a pack of Cottonelle to rest his head for a quick moment. Quick to realize his opportunities, he instead flopped onto a Simmons Beautyrest mattress to recharge with a bit of shuteye. Soon after, Daughtry checked out the LUXE app for on-demand valet parking.
“Dancing With The Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba stressed the importance of a dancers’ need to take care of his/her feet during Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge”. Inaba traded heels for neon pink New Balance Vazee Rush sneakers, a fitting color for her in support of her mother and of Susan G. Komen. The dancer/choreographer quickly kicked off her shoes entirely to test out a Hovertrax by Inventist personal transportation device, noting that it “really helped [her] to get a feel for [her] different feet muscles that aren’t as commonly used.” Inaba managed to keep her balance, whizzing about the space by flexing her toes.
“Dancing With the Stars” champion Maksim Chmerkovskiy loves a good dip – specifically Sabra hummus. While eating a handful of pretzels and celery during Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge,” Maksim talked with onlookers about breath and the importance of health/hygiene. The conversation carried over as he sampled Shea Chic artisan handmade soaps, divulging that he doesn’t wear deodorant and never has body odor. He also thumbed through the DSTLD Premium Denim clothing racks, noting that “[he] never wears jeans – or any clothes for that matter – twice.”
“Modern Family” family actor Rico Rodriguez found his the ultimate gifts for his holiday wish list as he toyed around Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge”. Rodriguez pulled up the WowWee REV app and battled cars, also snapping selfies with a WowWee SnapPet. Rodriguez proudly escorted his mom (who is also his Emmy-night date) so she could properly primp and prep with a quick Jamberry nail wrap and manicure, as well as a tutorial shaping session from Sania’s Brow Bar. Ever the gentleman, Rodriguez selected jewelry pieces from Jill Reno Collection Jewelry and Vanessa Lianne Jewelry to ensure that “she looks stunning” on Sunday night.
“Vanderpump Rules” stars Scheana Marie and Katie Maloney stopped by Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” looking better than ever. Scheana’s significant weight loss was obvious to everyone in the room. She credited her trainer, Seth Browning, and “insanely healthy eating” to her rocking bod. Her secret weapon to dieting? Sabra’s roasted red pepper hummus, which she “eats daily.” The fit television personality’s strong ab muscles came in handy when she hopped on a Hovertrax by Inventist, Inc., a self-balancing personal transportation device. She also raved about New Balance’s Vazee Rush Sneakers, which she’ll be using for her next workout with Seth. The pair stopped by Jamberry for super cute nail wraps. They mentioned that despite having to wear neutral nails while shooting (for continuity), they absolutely love nail art. They grabbed Centrum Vitamints on their way out to freshen up their breath for their men, while dosing up on their daily vitamins.
Rachel Melvin was seen getting a manicure with nail wrap application by Jamberry, which she was thrilled about and showing off to everyone at the lounge. The “Dumb and Dumber To” actress looked stunning in the Aquaswiss collection of luxury watches, and also tried her hand at modeling Bombata Bags.
Alan Cumming, “The Good Wife” actor and 2015 Emmy nominee for “Best Drama Supporting Actor,” was in good spirits as Extra’s 1st Annual “Weekend Of | Lounge” commenced on Friday evening. From zooming around on the “intuitive, original” Hovertrax by Inventist, to playing a solo game of Jenga with Centrum VitaMints blocks, Cumming embraced his inner child and newfound fascination for gadgets. Since music is an essential for this former Tony-winner, Cumming hesitated when dropping the Ultimate Ears UE Boom 2 speaker on the ground during a demonstration but was dumbfounded that the “lifeproof” device didn’t shatter into pieces.
Stars also scored…CRUNCH 1-year gym membership + 1-year CRUNCH live membership, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Mira Books “The Gilded Life of Matilda Duplaine”, Donsuemor Artisanal European Specialty Baked Goods (madeleines, French almond cakes, biscottis, nonettes), Andiz one-of-a-kind handmade boots, RA_Bar Beauty services, Matcha Marketplace Green Tea Oatmeal, and Dr. Sam Saleh Laser Teeth Whitening.
