Alright everyone, it’s time to sport your Christmas finest in the form of Santa Claus suits, reindeer costumes, elf costumes, snowman costumes, Mrs. Claus dresses, gingerbread man costumes (or anything of the sort) and get ready for the 2015 Hoboken SantaCon. It’s set to take place on December 19, 2015, from 11am to 11pm.
The general admission ticket price is $20 (plus a fee) and if you’re going in a group of 10 or more, you can get the group discount rate at $15 per ticket (plus a fee). With your purchase you’ll get a wristband that will grant you priority entry to bars and access to bar specials. The Hoboken SantaCon event isn’t just about scampering around in Christmas attire and drinking, it’s also for a good cause. Half of the proceeds are going to be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County. According to this post, in 2014, there was over $12,000 raised for The Wounded Warrior Project.
Some of the drink specials include $4 mixers, $4 mixers shots, and $3 domestic drafts (at most of the participating bars). Considering you’re going to be drinking, eating food along the way definitely isn’t a bad idea, so it’s a good thing that several restaurants and food trucks are going to be offering specials to those participating in the Hoboken SantaCon event.
You must be 21+ to participate in the Hoboken SantaCon event, and there’s a series of guidelines to follow, all of which are available on the Facebook event page. As you can probably expect, there are going to be a huge amount of cops out in force. As a personal recommendation, taking public transportation into Hoboken rather than driving is your best bet.
