Endora is an enchanting cat who has waited so long to find a loving home – and she can’t wait to bring some magic into someone’s life. According to Washington State rescue Purrfect Pals, Endora “just might be the sweetest cat we’ve ever met!” Endora has never met a stranger and she even once served as the “official greeter” at Purrfect Pals’ Lynnwood adoption center.
It’s not known if Endora has a magical nose wiggle, but according to Purrfect Pals’ Facebook page, Endora is a “world-class ankle polisher and purr machine who chirps delightfully to you.” This gorgeous girl was originally taken to a public shelter when her owner was losing her home. Endora had been hit by a car and was pregnant, but she didn’t give up – despite her injuries, she gave birth to her babies and raised them all successfully.
Several years later, Endora is still in the shelter, hoping for a second chance to have a real home and people of her own. Six-year-old Endora is friendly, gets along well with other cats, and doesn’t seem to mind dogs.
Endora does have some challenges with the litter box, some of them related to her injuries. According to Purrfect Pals, “Her back legs, particularly the right one, are stiff, but she gets around well and can jump up onto low cat trees and shelves.” Endora is looking for a home where she wouldn’t have to climb a lot of stairs and she’s hoping to have steps up to the bed so she can snuggle with her person at night.
Because of the stiffness in her hindquarters, this gal will need to have a shallow entry to a litter box – and since it’s hard for her to squat down, it will need to have a tall back and sides. Endora is a fastidious gal who prefers a sparkling clean box, so she would be very grateful if her person cleaned the box throughout the day. Having a second box might help keep her happy, too.
While Endora is a differently abled kitty, she has adopted beautifully to her physical challenges. She’s been waiting so long that she probably wishes that waving her paws or wiggling her nose could help her conjure up her own special someone. What she truly needs now is to have a life outside of the shelter in a safe, loving forever home with people of her own.
Endora is waiting to meet her special someone at the Purrfect Pals Main Shelter, which is located at 230 McRae Rd. NE in Arlington, Washington. Adoption hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Because Endora is black, she’s eligible for a reduced 50% off adoption fee this week. If you’re thinking of adding to your family, please consider this enchanting girl. And if you aren’t looking to adopt at this time, please share her story to help her finally find a home.
