The Ducks vs. Blackhawks live stream and televised Game 6 will feature Anaheim getting a shot to close out the Western Conference Finals with a win and move on to the Stanley Cup Finals. Chicago, down 2-3 in the series, will try to extend their 2015 NHL Playoffs run to a deciding Game 7 back in Anaheim. It would make for the second straight year that Chicago plays in a seventh game in the conference finals, but they are hoping its not the second straight year they are eliminated. Live streaming online and TV coverage of Game 6 arrives through NBC Sports on Wednesday.
According to NHL.com in their May 25 game report, the Anaheim Ducks are on the brink of returning to the Stanley Cup Finals after a 5-4 overtime victory at the Honda Center for Game 5. Matt Beleskey was the overtime hero, scoring to break the 4-4 tie at just 45 seconds into the extra session. Also aiding in the win were Ryan Kesler and Sami Vatanen who each scored, while Ryan Getzlaf and Jakob Silfverberg each assisted on two goals. The victory put Chicago into what is now a must win game on their home ice.
Chicago showed plenty of fight in the latest game, as they were down 3-0 after the first period. They scored two goals in the second period thanks to Teuvo Teravainen and Brent Seabrook to trim the lead. The Ducks’ Patrick Maroon pushed the lead up to 4-2, but Jonathan Toews played third period hero for the Blackhawks, scoring twice within the final two minutes of the third to tie it. Patrick Sharp had two assists for his team, while Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Teuvo Teravainen also assisted on goals. Unfortunately, Beleskey crushed Chicago’s hopes at going up 3-2 before going back to the United Center.
The odds favor the home team in their “must win” game Wednesday night as Chicago is a -140 or -145 favorite at various sports books. As the underdog, Anaheim has a moneyline price of +115 at most books. The goals over/under remains at five goals for the game. If a Game 7 is to take place, it will happen on Saturday in Anaheim. The winner of this series will take on the winner of the Tampa Bay vs. New York Eastern Conference Finals in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals in June.
