Now that it’s the day before Halloween and you may be getting a party together for tomorrow night, you may be trying to come up with a dish that children, as well as adults, will like and that will serve a crowd. Hot dogs are always popular, so let’s take that into consideration and barbecue them! I’m going to pass along the ingredients for “Halloween Party Hot Dogs”!
By all means, don’t feel you have to wait for Halloween to enjoy these, for they’re wonderful anytime! Not involved to prepare, you simply combine several ingredients to make a sauce. This is poured over the hot dogs, which you have already arranged in a baking pan. They go into the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. How’s that for a good and simple way to have a main course for a party!
The quantities of the recipe can be adjusted according to the number you’re planning to serve. All you would need to do is to have the hot dog trimmings, some chips and a cold beverage and you’re all set to go. If you wanted to, you could have the hot dogs ready for the oven in advance, refrigerate them and then bake whenever you’re ready for them. Naturally, it will take slightly more time to bake since they’re cold. In that case, I would allow an extra 15-20 minutes to make certain that they are hot all throughout. If there are any leftovers, they’ll keep well covered under refrigeration and reheated easily in the microwave.
What to go with these hot dogs? Baked beans always go over big with a hot dog! I gave a recipe sometime ago for “Kathy’s Baked Beans” that are really quite good. They would certainly go well with these special hot dogs. To get the recipe, follow the embedded link above.
Have a fun and safe Halloween this weekend and if you’re entertaining a bunch, here’s a good and easy main dish!
