Today, Eric Erickson founder of Redstate.com wrote an appeal for Donald Trump to stop the circus like atmosphere that has surrounded the Republican’s run for President. In an opinion piece that Erickson wrote today, he tells of how Trump that “The longer Trump is talking about Megyn Kelly, me, blood, or himself, he is not talking about Mexico, immigration, foreign policy, the national debt, the other candidates, etc.” Erickson though pulled his best punches for supporters of Trump who retaliated against Erickson with messages like these,” No problem, Erick the [female body part]…I gave up Fox two years ago because of RINOs…tell you what, Erick, have that vulgar lesbian on your show and ask her to comment on Donald Trump. She is a feminist whore…only interested in f***ing and aborting things. Donald Trump is a great American. Cowards kneel before the n***er Democrat daily.” Then there was this nice comment, “Shame on you, Eric. She [Megyn Kelly] was very clearly on her period…Mr. Trump isn’t politically correct; he’s a great American. F**k you.” Are these comments from just a frig groups of Trumps supporters or has Trump found core rebellion who are tired of doing business usual?
Donald Trump continues to lead his opponents by double digits and it appears his fan base has only gotten stronger since the Fox New Republican Debate on Thursday. Trump continue his campaign by appearing by phone and personal appearances to all of the Sunday news programs. He has called out Fox news for the “unprofessional “treatment he received at the debate. He continues to verbally assault Megyan Kelly, one of the three moderators at the debate. The supporters argue that the debate was geared to embarrass Trump and not inform on the audience of what Trumps thinks our country needs.
Saturday night, Trump announced that he had fired his campaign manager Roger Stone. Stone denied such and tweeted that he in fact had quit. In the midst of all this chaos, Eric Erickson, who is the gentleman behind Redstate.com, disinvited Trump to Q & A session that many of the top Republicans were attending. Erickson disinvited Trump due to this contacted verbal assaults on moderator Megyn Kelly. In a 24 hour period, Trump called Kelly a bimbo, and then in an interview with Don Lemon of CNN he offered this opinion on Kelly, You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her… wherever… .That quote is what has sent some republican supporters underground, as if they can’t publically support Trump but still do. Then there are others who whole heartily support Trump and in their eyes, Trump is exactly the shot of truthfulness our country needs.
