On Oct. 29, Walt Disney World Resort announced a new hard-ticket event is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year. Club Villain will feature several Disney Villains in a experience that includes musical performances, food and drink, and character encounters. Reservations for the hard-ticket event also opened today.
Club Villain is described as a dine-and-dance event that offers New Orleans themed food and fun. Disney Parks Blog notes Dr. Facilier, of “The Princess and the Frog,” will serve as the evening’s guide to the other side via his “parlor of mystical mishaps.” Other villains who will come out to socialize include Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil and Snow White’s Evil Queen. The event’s entertainment includes stage-show numbers as well as “up-close encounters with Disney’s most dastardly doomsday divas.” A house DJ will mix music.
The dining portion of the event will include tender beef striploin rubbed with herbes de Provence, Voodoo sticky “pig wings” with citrus gremolata and spicy shrimp sautéed with Andouille sausage, tomato, okra and onions over creamy polenta. A Potions bar will serve “fiendish” specialty alcoholic cocktails, beer and wine.
Club Villain will take place inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Sunset Showcase, near the Rock ‘n Roller Coaster area of the park. The first event debuts Jan. 16, 2016 with future events held on most Saturday evenings. Note: Disney’s booking calendar offers specific dates and times for the event, as the park’s operating hours vary.
Club Villain is a hard-ticket event, meaning it requires a separate ticket , and costs $99 per person (tax and gratuity included). Advance reservations are recommended and may be made up to 90 days in advance either online or by calling 407-939-3463. Admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required and not included in that price.
In the past couple of years, Walt Disney World Resort has experimented with offering different events that showcase its famous fiends in up-close encounters. Last year, Magic Kingdom introduced a hard-ticket Villains’ Sinister Soiree, a dinner held during the hard-ticket Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Disney’s Hollywood Studios offered Villains Unleashed, a hard-ticket event with performances and meet-and-greets that took place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2014. That event was itself a variation on Unleash The Villains, a 2013 Limited Time Magic event. These experiences did not return in 2015, although Club Villains will feature similar elements.
