In early November La Brea Bakery ran a #ThanksgivingHero campaign to allow people the chance to say “Thank You” to the firefighters, nurses, and volunteers and other loved ones who spend Thanksgiving away from their immediate families to better the lives of others. Eric Russell and his fellow firefighters at the South Metro Fire Department Station 38 in Cherry Hills Village, CO were nominated by Eric’s daughter, Karissa, for their dedication and service to the community for over 25 years.
After all the entries were made, La Brea Bakery was happy to surprise the local Denver fire house and bring a warming feeling and festive mood to Eric’s place of business this Thanksgiving!
“From first responders, to chefs, to supermarket employees, there are many people who make sacrifices on Thanksgiving and as a result, do not spend the holiday with their family and friends,” said Kristina Dermody, Brand President of ARYZTA, the parent company of La Brea Bakery. “As a leading food brand, we know how much this day means, and we want to do something truly special for those that have to be apart from family and friends on this day. We are excited to give our customers the chance to surprise their Thanksgiving hero this holiday season through our #ThanksgivingHero campaign.”
