It was a hot night in Colorado Thursday night as temperatures soared well into the 90’s. The sun beat down all day as normally as evening falls the temperatures drop a little and cool off just a bit. But this night the evening was hotter than ever and more beautiful as ever as the models walked the runway of the rose garden at The Hudson Gardens And Event Center for the Lost in a Garden of Roses fashion show.
With the help of Fashion Forward and Celebrare and both of their know how, they team up to put on some of the most fascinating fashions shows in Colorado and other locations around the United States, Fashion Forward teamed up with some of the best designers that Colorado has to make ladies be the envious attraction at any event they attend. Fashion Forward found the perfect backdrop at a Denver favorite for holding events, The Hudson Gardens And Event Center. Team up one of the rose gardens at Hudson Gardens with designers and models and you have the opportunity to really get Lost in a Garden of Roses.
Lost in a Garden of Roses this year was in honor of Elva Rosa and honored 20 years of her memory. To help honor Rosa, Lost in the Garden of Roses Fashion Show brought in five designers who have won multiple awards and had some impeccable fashions to display.
Designer DeeDee Vicory is the found of the D’Lota brand. Deedee is a seamstress by trade and a true designer by heart. Her designer wedding gowns have been shown in British Vogue and will be seen in British Marie Claire, InStyle Magazines.
Passionate about fashions at the young age of 8, the award-winning Latina fashion designer Gabriela Martinez brings a whole new life with her elegant and sophisticated evening wear. Gabriela Martinez was recognized as the Denver Fashion Designer of the year in 2011 and in 2010 Best Special Occasion and took first place in the 2010 Denver Festival.
Gino Velardi has a vision to make every woman feel sexy, confident and beautiful when wearing his designs. He was awarded Wake Up Your Warrior Award in 2012, Denver’s Best Fashion Designer at the annual Denver Style Expo in 2011 and Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Couture Designer of the Year Award in 2007.
Known for her bridal and lingerie fashions, Lisa Ramfjord Elstun is the President and CEO of the Fashion Design Center, Inc. and LRE Couture LLC. Awarded Westword’s 2014 Mastermind of Fashion Design and is listed in their 100 Colorado Creatives. The FDC received recognition in the Best of Denver 2014 for Best Fashion Supporting Space. Lisa loves to help others succeed in building their own professional brands. Her fashions looked spectacular as the gorgeous backdrop of the water fountain and the flowers at The Hudson Gardens And Event Center.
Helping raise money for cancer research, Dr. Zofia Wosinka of Estaine is a Polish-born dye chemist and spent much of her career in cancer research and developing tissue dye-based solutions used in cancer diagnosis. Estaine had a display of some of the scarfs and ties on hand and some of the proceeds were going for cancer research. The fashions show ended with the gorgeous models walking the runway again around the beautiful fountain wearing some of the scarfs designed by Dr. Zofia Wosinka.
In order to complete the Lost in a Garden of Roses at The Hudson Gardens and Event Center you need models to wear the captivating designs by all these amazing designers. Give credit to the more than 20 models that donated their time to survive the heat and try to stay cool as they wore the outfits gracefully. And they did this with style, grace, elegance and smiles the entire night.
