Music festival season started in Arizona in September and NOVEMBERFEST continues that tradition in fine style for alternative rock and heavy metal fans! This is epic! The festivities are this coming weekend, Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, 2015 at EagleRider Motorcycles. As a BIG bonus, when you buy a ticket, you are automatically entered to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle!! A motorcycle will be given away each day of the festival.
The talent. Saturday, November 21:
Daughtry, the band has released back-to-back number one albums, Daughtry and Leave This Town, after Chris was a runner-up on American Idol. Their self-penned number one hit songs include “Home,” “Feels Like Tonight,” and “No Surprise.” The album, Daughtry, is four times certified platinum!
Sebastian Bach is well known as former frontman of Skid Row from 1987-96. Give ‘Em Hell is the title of the iconic heavy metal vocalist’s latest solo album. “18 and Life” and “I Remember You” were two of his big hits with Skid Row.
Fuel, an American post-grunge band, has singer Brett Scallions at the forefront of the band widely known for the hits “Shimmer” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” is on the road again in support of their latest album Puppet Strings. Their album, Something Like Human, yielded their number one hits, “Empty Spaces,” and “Slow.”
Puddle Of Mudd, another vintage post-grunge band, rounds out the day. Their most notable hits include “She Hates Me,” “Control” and the most-played song across all rock formats in 2001, “Blurry.” The band has sold over seven million records with their album, Come Clean, selling five million.
The talent, Sunday, November 22:
Soulfly is a groove metal quartet led by Max Cavalera will co-headline Sunday. They are touring in support of their tenth studio album, Archangel. Cavalera is the former frontman for Sepultura famous for “Roots Bloody Roots,” “Dead Embryonic Cells” and “Attitude.”
Coal Chamber, nu-metal band, co-headlines the day and they, too, are touring in support of their new album, Rivals, featuring its opener “I.O.U Nothing.” This Los Angeles based band disbanded in 2002 and reformed in 2011. Rivals is the first album in 13 years.
Flotsam and Jetsam and Sacred Reich, and Incite are Phoenix bands. Flotsam and Jetsam is one of metal’s most enduring band forces. The band is best known for the classic compositions “Doomsday For The Deceiver,” “No Place for Disgrace” and “I Live You Die.” Sacred Reich is considered by some music aficionados as one of the most overlooked speed metal bands of all time. Fan favorites include “Draining You of Life,” “One Nation,” “Surf Nicaragua” and “Ignorance.” Incite’s frontman Richie Cavalera is the stepson of Max Cavalera (former Sepultura co-founder and Soulfly headmaster). Incite has reached Top 40 status on Sirius Metal Charts and Liquid Metal’s the Devil’s Dozen.
