Okay go ahead gobble, gobble on Thanksgiving, then waddle, over to your closest Crunch for a free day of fitness and fun. Crunch, that chain of wacky, no attitude, exercise is fun, fitness clubs wants you to forget about Black Friday shopping and do some fat trimming instead. So each branch is opening its doors to the public for a free-for-all fitness feast on the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27. It’s a great way to jump start a healthy routine as the official over-eating season is in progress.
All you need to do is a pack a gym bag with your workout clothes, shoes, comb and a lock (they have storage bins but members must bring their own locks). Once you arrive at the club just change your clothes and head into the expansive workout areas that are equipped with every weight machine imaginable, stationary bikes, fit balls, free weights and more.
Crunch WeHo is spread out on two floors, the lower level has mostly elliptical machines, treadmills and bikes, a special room for classes and men’s and women’s locker rooms with saunas, steam baths and showers stocked with Bliss shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are also Bliss moisturizers and lots of towels at the reception desk. For those of you who need to be connected, free WiFi is available. The upstairs area is a fitness fantasy land of everything you need; both sections have plenty of flat screen TVs on the walls for your sports, news or TV viewing pleasure.
So if like most of us you over-indulge at the Thanksgiving table you can atone for your sins at Crunch all day Friday and perhaps even pop for a membership so you can keep up the regime forever. It doesn’t hurt (except maybe when you go for the burn) and it will do your body good.
