When taking a cruise, it is sometimes hard to keep in touch with everyone at home. Now cruise ships are making things a lot easier by adding free wifi to their ships. Before long, you won’t have any problems updating your social networks while traveling. On Thursday, Fox News shared that Luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises is going to offer free wifi on every cruise ship in 2016. This will be available on the ship no matter where you are at too.
A lot of cruise ships just have pay as you go for wifi and it can get really expensive. Carnival recently announced that they are charging customers based on what they use the Internet for and you can get a better deal if you are only doing social networks and not browsing the Internet or playing games. For just $25 a day, you can get Internet of any kind on the ship. Royal Caribbean has also been offering some free wifi to test it out on various ships.
Fortune just shared that Royal Caribbean is now starting a line of ships that are called “smartships.” They will have robots serving cocktails, high speed coverage and even free wifi for all passengers in 2016. The wifi on these ships is also getting faster. It is going to be a lot easier to get wifi on cruise ships in the coming years.
