Does the evidence around us suggest that a supernatural act behind the origin of the universe or can natural laws alone explain how it came into existence? The first three verses of Genesis accurately express all known aspects of the creation (Genesis 1:1-3). Science expresses the universe in terms of time, space, matter, and energy. In Genesis chapter one we read, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Then God said in verse three, “Let there be light”, Creation is revealed through these Scriptures, time (In the beginning), space (heaven), matter (earth), and energy (light). All four of these aspects of creation were created by God.
Creation is revealed to all through the Word of God, the Holy Bible (KJV). No other book can confirm Creation.. These other books speculate on the origin of the universe through different theories and hypothesis. There is problems that arise when someone tries to explain the origin of the universe using only natural laws.
CREATION deals with true science. This word acrostic opens some of these aspects of creation.
Can’t be duplicated by man. Man cannot create what God has created such as plants and animals or even worlds (Hebrews 11:3), such as stars and planets. God created everything (John 1:3),(Colossians 1:16) with His mouth alone by His words. “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made: and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” (Psalm 33:6), “For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalm 33:9)
Received by faith. Creation can only be received by faith in God’s Holy inspired Word (II Timothy 3:16). “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Earth, our home in space. Earth (Genesis 1;1), was the first planet created by God. It was created for a purpose. It was created to give mankind a place to live in this vastness of the universe. No other planet was created for this purpose. Only Earth has a sustainable atmosphere with life-giving oxygen and water to support biological life and God’s ultimate creation :Adam (man).
Adam, first man. Adam was the first man God created. Man was made in the likeness and image of God (Genesis 1:26-28). Adam was created from the dust of the ground and God breathed a living soul into him (Genesis 2:7). God then created a woman from one of Adam’s ribs (Genesis 2:21-24).
The heavens declare it. The universe with its stars, planets, comets, and asteroids declare the glory of God. Just look into the night sky at all the stars there are. Or look at the photographs of space from the Hubble Space Telescope. The pictures are simply amazing! “The heavens declare the glory of God; and firmament sheweth his handywork.” (Psalm 19:1)
In six 24 hour days. The Scripture plainly says God created in six literal days (Genesis 1:1-31). These days were 24 hours in duration, starting with the evening and the morning of each day. God does not mince words about this amount of time it took to complete creation. “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:11)
Order not chaos. God created in an orderly fashion. Nothing was chaotic about Creation. God does everything decently and in order (I Corinthians 14:40). Earth when it was first created was in a primordial state before God started His creative acts on it. The order of Creation agrees with true science. We know that plants require water, sunlight, minerals from soil in order to survive. In the first chapter of Genesis we read that God created water (verse 2), then light (verse 3), the soil (verse 9) and then He created plant life (verse 11).
No excuse not to believe. God has shown us His creation. We can see it through a microscope all the way up to a telescope. Just look at the intricate design of a spider’s web or even a leaf. These could not of been created by random chance. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are cl;early seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)
