Jacksonville has some wonderful local craft beer breweries and their number continues to grow.
Below is a list of some of the best along with some of their not to be missed beers.
Bold City Brewery

Tap room is open Thursday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tours are available most Saturdays from 2 p.m. through 5 p.m.
Drink there and/or take a Growler home. Both quart and gallon sizes are available as are kegs.
Their Killer Whale Cream Ale is light, crisp and refreshing ale with no bitter aftertaste
1901 Red Ale was named in remembrance of the Great Fire of Jacksonville and like the city your tastebuds will be roasted and smoky, but in a good way.
Those two beers and their Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale are some of the best local beers to be found in Jax.
Duke’s is a mild brown ale named after Duke, the owner’s late, beloved boxer has hints of chocolate and caramel with a smooth nutty finish.
And while a dog is man’s best friend, a beer is a close second.

Brewery tours are available by reservation Tuesday through Friday at 3:00pm.
Tours are $5/person and include a pint of beer and an Intuition Ale pint glass.
People’s Pale Ale is their flagship beer, an American-style pale ale that is inspired by the hoppy pale ales of the West Coast
Barrel Aged Riverside Red is a Limited batch, hoppy amber aged in Underdark barrels
King Street Stout is an Imperial stout brewed with two-row malted barley and a variety of roasted and caramel malts.

32 and 128 ounce growlers, or half- and sixth-barrel kegs of your favorite beer are available to take home.
Their Raging Blonde Ale is a malt-oriented golden blonde ale. Their Scout Dog 44 is an Amber Ale that you really want to drink. Buzzin’ Bee Honey Rye Wheat is an American-style, unfiltered wheat ale made with Florida honey. In addition to the wheat, it has a touch of rye and sweet orange peel.
And their seasonal; Hedgehog Hefeweizen,a full-flavored Bavarian-style wheat beer made with over 50% wheat malt, German hops and fermented with Hefeweizen yeast is well worth the wait.
Aardwolf Brewing Company

Their Pilot Batch series is an ever changing array of beers brewed in small batches and released every Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Everlasting Hopstopper is an Imperial Red IPA, Styrofoam Pony is a very stout, American Stout.
Wreck It Rauch, a Rauchbier (Smoke Beer) is without a doubt one of the best in it’s class in Jax.
Whisper in Darkness a Black Barleywine and Day of Reckoning, a Belgian Dark Strong are also ones to add to your to do list.
