The CPL 2015 Barbados vs. Trinidad live stream and televised game arrives on Sunday evening as the two squads face off in the finals. The Tridents will attempt to defend their Caribbean Premier League title won last year, as they’ve held a bye into the final game. After dispatching of the Amazon Warriors a day ago, the Red Steel will now look to capture their first CPL title with an upset victory. The Tridents vs. Red Steel live streaming and TV coverage arrives thanks to ESPN networks on Sunday.
An ESPNCricInfo report on July 25 indicates that a dominant performance helped the Red Steel reach this year’s Caribbean Premier League final. They defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the semifinals on Saturday by six wickets. Umar Akmal had 49 runs while Darren Bravo added 22 for the winning side. The Amazon Warriors got a brilliant performance from their star Lendl Simmons who put in 64 runs for the match. However, it was a superior all around performance, including bowling, that got the Red Steel to the final.
In terms of the bowlers, spinners Derone Davis, Sulieman Benn and Samuel Badree were able to work over the opposition, as the Red Steel piled up runs. At one point, Akmal partnered with Jacques Kallis for 41 runs off 23 deliveries. The combo of Akmal and Bravo on a 30-run partnership was also huge in keeping the Trinidad & Tobago team ahead later on. By the 19th over, the Red Steel had secured their spot for this year’s final, where they’ll face a rested Tridents squad, ready to defend their championship. The Tridents had the top overall record in the standings for this past season, earning themselves a bye all the way to the finals.
Coming into this matchup with momentum has made Trinidad & Tobago today’s favorites. The Red Steel have a price of about -141 on the moneyline at some books. The defending champions will be slight underdogs with a price of +110 on the moneyline. Dwayne Smith leads player props for the Tridents’ top batsman wagers at +300. For the Red Steel, Darren Bravo leads the way with odds of +275 to be today’s top batsman. Cameron Delport is next at +350 followed by Kamran Akmal at a +450 price.
