On September 11, 2015, the Dave Matthews Band brought its summer tour to the Shoreline Amphitheatre. It was truly an evening of inspired music. Fans are always thrilled when the band is in California. The band has been performing an acoustic and electric set at every show. It is always a thrilling experience to watch the band perform. The band consists of Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds, Stefan Lessard, Boyd Tinsely, Carter Beauford, Jeff Coffin, and Rashawn Ross. The stars are all seasoned musicians that are brilliant musical storytellers. They are charismatic performers that captivate audiences around the world. The concert was outstanding. It was an enchanting night under the stars.
The evening began when Dave Matthews appeared on stage alone. He sat at the piano and performed a new song, “Death On The High Seas”. It is a haunting song that left the audience enthralled. Matthews then sang “Little Red Bird”. Other songs performed during the acoustic set were “Satellite”, “Sweet”, “What Would You Say”, “Ants Marching”, “Captain”, and “Funny The Way It Is”. The audience really listened to every song performed. The melodies are beautiful and the lyrics are thought-provoking. It was evident that everyone was in the moment enjoying what was taking place on stage. The musicians give every performance their all and it is inspiring to continue to see the evolution of the DMB sound. The exploration of melodic moments is second to none.
