Niki Luparelli and the Gold Diggers – “Try to imagine a performer with Patsy Cline’s emotional, contralto voice, Marilyn Monroe’s looks and Mae West’s outrageous jokes. Add in a touch of the Marx Brothers and you have Niki Luparelli.”
“Blondtastic” says Worcester Magazine. “Better than Cats,” says T.S. Elliot. Niki and the Gold Diggers have been playing to sold out shows all over New England and are thrilled to return to Super Megafest where they will do a mix of vintage favorites and David Bowie.
The Oh Nos! , a plastic sporko band, was formed by Wayne and Rachel Cabral to pay tribute to the more unusual Beatle songs, the solo careers of John, Paul, George and Ringo and the bands they influenced, all while having fun and making lots of noise.
The Oh Nos are: Wayne Cabral, formerly of Octopus’s Garden, an award winning singer/ songwriter and John Lennon Songwriting Contest semi-finalist and performer at the 2011 New England Pop Festival; on lead guitar and vocals, Joe Militello, a singer/ songwriter, formerly of Cold Shoulder and Drive-In and currently leading the Mockers; on guitar, keyboard and vocals, the cutest rhythm section out there: former members of GIRL (the first all female Beatle Tribute band to play the Cavern Club in Liverpool), Shelley Rego on bass and vocals; and Rachel Cabral on drums and fashion; and Ian Motha, singer/songwriter, and member of the Anchors, on guitar and vocals.
