Week 4 of the 2015 college football season features some great match-ups and some very interesting ones too. All three of the top ranked teams in the country are favored this week by well over three touchdowns and those are always interesting match-ups for college football fans and bettors. Here is a list of the college football odds and lines for Week 4 of the 2015 season.
All the top 10 teams in action this week are listed below and then other interesting and important games for this week are also listed. Over/unders for the games are listed where available. The LSU vs Syracuse game has not been released yet. Good luck to all the college football teams and bettors this week!
- #1 Ohio State -31 at home vs Western Michigan (O/U is 58)
Ohio State struggled last week to beat Northern Illinois by a score of 20-13. The Buckeyes were favored in the game by 34 points so they obviously did not cover the huge spread. What about this week vs Western Michigan? Ohio State is giving up 31 points. Western Michigan lost to Michigan State 37-24 in the first game of the season. Michigan State is now ranked #2 in the country.
- #2 Michigan State -27 at home vs Central Michigan (O/U is 54)
Central Michigan has shown some fight this year losing to Oklahoma State 24-13 in Week 1 and 30-27 in OT at Syracuse last week. This week the Chippewas are 27 point underdogs facing Michigan State in Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Michigan State looked like they were going to roll over Air Force last week as they built a 28-7 halftime lead but then got outscored 14-7 in the second half and won the game 35-21.
- #3 Ole Miss -25 at home vs Vanderbilt (O/U is 55.5)
Ole Miss took a huge leap in the rankings all the way up to #3 after beating Alabama on the road last week. Now the Rebels host Vanderbilt this week as a 25 point favorite. Always be leery of teams coming off a huge win the next week as college kids usually do not handle that very well. Vanderbilt lost to Georgia 31-14 in Week 2 at home. Cannot see Vandy winning this game but can they lose by less than 25 at Ole Miss? Normally no but this week maybe.
- #4 TCU -8.5 at Texas Tech (O/U is 79)
TCU is favored by just 8.5 points going to play on the road this week vs Texas Tech. Before last week’s games this line would have been much higher but Texas Tech went on the road and beat Arkansas out of the SEC 35-24 last Saturday. TCU beat SMU last week 56-37. This should be a high scoring and fun game to watch this week.
- #5 Baylor -35.5 at home vs Rice (O/U is 76)
The fifth ranked Baylor Bears are 35.5 point favorites at home vs the Rice Owls. Rice is averaging over 40 points scored per game including a 42-28 loss on the road at Texas in Week 2. So the Owls are likely going to put up some points vs Baylor this week which makes the 35.5 point spread somewhat enticing vs Baylor this week.
- #6 Notre Dame -26 at home vs UMass (O/U is 56.5)
After a big win over #20 ranked Georgia Tech last week as a home underdog, Notre Dame is favored by 26 points this week at home vs UMass. UMass put up a good fight last week in a 25-23 loss to Temple but don’t be fooled. The game was played at UMass and Temple was coming off a big road win over Cincinnati. The worry for Notre Dame is a letdown after the big win over Georgia Tech.
- #8 LSU -24 at Syracuse (O/U is N/A)
LSU rolled over Auburn 45-21 at home and now the Tigers are 24 point favorites as they travel to the Carrier Dome to take on Syracuse. The Orange needed OT to beat Central Michigan last week and it’s hard to see them stopping LSU at all this week. If you want to bet Syracuse this week at big odds you’d better have a lot of confidence in their defense.
- #9 UCLA -3.5 at #17 Arizona (O/U is 64)
After a good 24-23 home win over ranked BYU last week the #9 ranked UCLA Bruins are 3.5 point favorites this week on the road at #16 Arizona. It’s hard to get a read on Arizona so far this season. They are 3-0 but they beat Texas-San Antonio, Nevada and Northern Arizona. Historically, getting points at home is not a bad way to bet Pac-12 games.
- #12 Alabama -38 at home vs Louisiana Monroe (O/U is 55)
Alabama will be hopping mad this week after losing to Ole Miss. Will they be mad enough to cover the 38 point spread vs Louisiana Monroe? The Warhawks got waxed by a score of 51-14 at Georgia in Week 1 and it’s hard to see them doing any better this week in Tuscaloosa.
- #13 Oregon -14 at home vs #18 Utah (O/U is N/A)
Oregon had no trouble beating Washington State and Georgia State but the Ducks lost to Michigan State 31-28 in Week 2. Utah has wins over Michigan, Utah State and Fresno State. How big a difference is there between Michigan and Michigan State this season? If you can answer that question you will know who to bet in this game because Utah beat Michigan and Oregon lost to Michigan State.
- #19 USC -5.5 at Arizona State (O/U is 63)
Another Pac-12 game where the home team is getting points vs a ranked a team. Will USC be mad over the bad loss to Stanford at home or are they not that good this season? Arizona State lost to Texas A&M on the road in Week 1 so how good are they this season? Arizona State did beat USC last year on the road in a thriller with QB Mike Bercovici leading the way.
- #22 BYU +5.5 at Michigan (O/U is 45)
BYU is ranked #22 and Michigan is not ranked but the Cougars find themselves 5.5 point underdogs this week at Michigan. BYU has nice wins this season over Nebraska and Boise State and they just lost by a point at UCLA last Saturday. Michigan has had no trouble at home handling Oregon State and UNLV the last two weeks. Does Jim Harbaugh have the Wolverines turned around? This week will be a good test.
