This is episode #24 & it will expire streaming online at the offical website on Oct. 27, 2015.
“Cold Justice” follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler & former crime scene investigator (CSI) Yolanda McClary. They seek justice in unsolved murders at small towns across the United States.
“In the Neighborhood: Part 2” opened with Kelly & Yolanda heading to the town of White Settlement, Texas. Laura Walsh was stabbed three times & burned to death in 1992. Gene Giddens & Keith Durington were also killed & their bodies burned 5 months later. Investigators believed that both cases might be connected with 10 possible suspects.
Gene cashed a $3,000 check to hold a house party. He bought drugs from feuding neighbors. There was also a group of ex-cons who lived in the father’s home of Donald Wright. Donald is the main suspect in Laura Walsh’s murder. A group of teenagers pointed fingers at each other after the double murders. There was no DNA evidence & no murder weapon was left behind. Arson covered up the deaths of Laura, Gene & Keith.
Three suspects lived next door to Gene who sold him drugs & knew he had $3,000. The teen biker gang bragged about the murders. They became suspects two years later. The ex-cons knew Donald & two of them showed up at the party. One claimed he was not at the party who was later convicted as an arsonist.
One of the teenagers claimed that he never confessed to killing anyone, but signed a statement implicating his friends. An eye witness claimed that two of the ex-cons showed up at the party. All the ex-cons don’t remember the night of that party because of extensive drug use. It turns out that Donald went to some of Gene’s parties in the past.
