Club Med resorts has collaborated with Cirque du Soleil to create a one of a kind family destination experience called Creactive. New this fall, guests at the Punta Cana Club Med in the Dominican Republic have the opportunity to fly three stories on a high trapeze, soar two stories on the high bungee, play like spiderman on the vertical wall, and dance from the silks as part of their stay at the unique all-inclusive resort.
This incredible Caribbean vacation destination spot is a dream for active families. Parents will enjoy adventure sports, a state of the art fitness center and golf lessons as well as the serenity of the spa featuring the latest treatments and the highest quality products. Kids 4 months to 17 years will love the structured activities designed specifically for their age group, including playing in a shallow pool with waterfalls and slides, arts and crafts, mini golf, scavenger hunts and daily themes at Club Med mini. Mathias and all the CousCous team entertain, encourage and play with children from around the world, creating a special place they love to come back to every day.
One of the most popular activities is a trip to the Creactive experience when it is geared to young children and families. The activities at Creactive vary each day between more than thirty different circus highlights including mask painting, silks-also called tissue-for children, trampoline, dance, hula hoops, juggling, clowning and bungee jumping over foam blocks. Teenagers enjoy a private haven aside from the younger children and adults as well as their own time at Creactive with age-appropriate lessons.
The team that works at the Creactive experience came to the Punta Cana resort from various backgrounds within Cirque du Soleil around the world. They are as diverse as their special skills and are well versed in helping first timers find their way around their fears and repeat visitors advance their skills. Jennifer specializes on the vertical wall and states “I love working on the vertical wall-it makes me feel like Spiderman!” While the tricks are fun, they are also physically and mentally challenging-the makings of an adventure and family bonding experience never to be forgotten. Once you have had a go at these acrobatics, you will never see another circus the same, particularly the weekly showcase that the Creactive team puts on using the same equipment that your family practiced on.
The newly remodeled Tiara suites are the perfect accommodation for families. They offer multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a private terrace, and an umbrella with chairs by the sea. Other amenities of the Tiara suites include a gorgeous infinity pool at the water’s edge with the Perle Barit’s on deck. This area is exclusive to guests of the suites, creating an intimate space with exceptional service. Tiara guests have the opportunity to have cocktails and appetizers delivered to their suite each night for the “Sunset Happy Hour” and room service from 7 am- 11 pm. If you prefer to eat out, you also have the opportunity to reserve your favorite table at the Hispaniola restaurant as well as having a dedicated concierge to help with anything else you might need.
There are all sorts of excursions and tours in this resort including scuba diving for all levels of divers including a PADI certification course. The scuba instructors are outgoing, knowledgeable and very familiar with the dive areas. If you like, they will have someone take a video and images of your dive using their GoPro technology. Another popular tour is the Lobster Cruise. Guests depart the resort and cruise along Tortuga Bay, stopping at a natural swimming pool, then enjoy fresh lobster grilled on the boat. This Dominican paradise truly has it all from luxurious accommodations to entertainment and every detail in between. Be prepared- your family may want to extend their holiday!
