Located at 2100 N. Halsted in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, Chez Moi is an intimate ‘French Bistro’ neighborhood restaurant with a cozy feel. Don’t worry about parking, they have a Valet service at the front door that is efficient and reasonable ($10 to park).
Chez Moi has 19 tables in the front of the restaurant, 12 tables in the rear area, and 9 tables in the patio. You literally have to walk past the kitchen to get to a table in the back of the restaurant. The back room can be booked for private special events.
Although they have seating for up to 90 guests, they do get very busy on weekends so make sure to make reservations and plan accordingly.
They are currently offering an All-You-Can-Eat Mussels promotion from 5:00pm to 10:00pm through Friday September 25th, 2015. The mussels are brought to your table with a full portion of French fries.
The price is $25 per person. In my opinion, this is a great deal!
I recommend you try a serving of the four types of mussels.
· Marinières Mussels: White Wine, Shallots, Parsley, Butter, Lemon
· Belgium Mussels: Beer, Cream, Bacon
· Mediterranean Mussels: Tomatoes, Saffron Rice, Onions, Basil
· Lobster Bisque Mussels: Lobster Cream
However, before you embark on your mussels voyage, I strongly recommend you try the escargot. Their escargot appetizer (6 pieces) is served on a flaky pastry that is second to none.
Even if you’re not normally a fan of mussels, these four recipes will certainly change your mind.
In addition to their impressive menu, Chez Moi also offers their guests 32 different types of wine by the glass and over 30 different wines by the bottle.
Chez Moi is also a great after-work hangout. They offer Happy Hour specials 5:00pm to 7:00pm… Half-price wines by the glass and half-price appetizers.
I dined at Chez Moi on Sunday evening September 20th and the restaurant was packed. The General Manager, Donald Whitcomb, knew many of the patrons by first name.
They have great food, at a fair price, with excellent service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. What else can you ask for?
