Camp Gladiator is a fast growing and dynamic fitness program sweeping the nation and the next stop is here in Central Florida. This four week fitness bootcamp promises to provide the motivation and positive environment to help individuals of all ages and fitness levels see results in a fun and supportive way. Created by American Gladiator Grand Champion Ally Davidson, Camp Gladiator is currently recruiting and hiring fitness professionals and enthusiast to join their elite team in the Orlando area. The company is preparing to expand throughout the Central Florida area and will be offering a diverse and alternative workout program to the community that is different from the basic gym or health club experience. Doug Reeder, a Camp Gladiator Trainer for the Orlando area, explains the opportunities the program creates for Trainers and Business partners and what it takes to become part of this award winning team.
1. What makes Camp Gladiator different from other gyms/workout programs as a Personal Trainer?
As a trainer, you are not “employed” by Camp Gladiator, but rather a partner and teammate of an amazing group of like-minded individuals, all with the same passion and focus. As fitness professionals, we all help each other grow because we believe in the same mission statement: “To positively impact the physical fitness and ultimately the lives of as many people as possible.”
2. What makes this program stand out for an independent Personal Trainer working on their own or in a gym?
Camp Gladiator allows trainers to maximize their time and earn more income than what is possible when working for themselves or in a gym. The power of the team and the opportunity Camp Gladiator provides is like none other.
3. How is this a better and different opportunity for a Personal Trainer than the usual norm in the fitness industry? (sales, opportunity, training, etc.)
In my opinion, there are two types of people in life. The first is someone that likes comfort and security. These people are ok exchanging an hour of time for a set wage, whether $20/hour or $150/hour. They don’t like risk, change, or being pushed outside of their comfort zone.
The second is someone that is willing to take a risk and seize opportunity to be part of something greater. With Camp Gladiator, the opportunity is endless! The more time, hustle, and work you put into your business, the more you get out of it. This is not only from a financial standpoint but also the amount of people you are able to impact on a daily basis. As a team, we are constantly working on our own professional development and getting outside our comfort zones.
4. What do you seek in a Personal Trainer for consideration for employment?
We look for outgoing, and knowledgeable fitness minded professionals. Our ideal trainer is someone that loves leading large groups of people and can do so with lots of personality! We call is the “X-Factor.” Our workouts are fun, motivating, and encouraging and we need someone who can deliver just that. Each member of our team should have a strong belief in teamwork, integrity, loyalty, passion, and positivity.
5. What are the qualifications to become a Camp Gladiator Trainer?
In order to become a Camp Gladiator trainer, you must have a nationally recognized Certified Personal Trainer Certification and be CPR certified. You must also be able to be a leader in a group setting providing a positive attitude and a high passion for helping others.
6. How and when can you find out more about becoming a Camp Gladiator Trainer?
We are always looking for new teammates and during the week of July 27th to August 1st, we will be hosting info sessions and auditions for interested trainers. The current opportunity that will be occurring in October is called the “CG Total Transformation”.
