What is it with celebrities fighting on Twitter? According to a report by E! Online on Aug. 17, this time the Twitter feud was between Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris and her ex-boyfriend’s ex-bandmate, One Direction’s Zayn Malik. According to the report, Malik happened to retweet an account that brought together a quote from Taylor Swift and a quote from Miley Cyrus about the music industry and free streaming services like Spotify. Harris took it as a direct hit toward girlfriend, Taylor Swift so he and Malik went back-and-forth on Twitter spouting off to each other.
According to People, the side-by-side tweets that were retweeted by Malik from Swift and Cyrus has since been deleted. However, not before Harris took a few jabs at Malik about it. Although he ranted a little bit to Malik about the retweet, he did apologize to him. The tweets between the two are as follows:
The retweet that was originally tweeted by Cyrus that started this Twitter fight said:
I’ve made my money. If no one buys my album, it’s cool. It’s fine. I’ve got a house and I’ve got dogs that I love. I don’t need anything else.
Apparently, Harris took this as a dig at girlfriend, Swift and then went off on Malik saying:
You’ve made your money? Cool…F— the 99 percent of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah F—em!
Harris kept going with this tweet at Malik:
If you don’t get what it means when successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry—Stay out of my f—in mentions pls. While you kids are refresh voting teen choice awards there’s some poor f—er in a basement making your new favorite record trying to survive. Meaning….Stay out of things you don’t understand.
Meanwhile, Malik tweeted back telling Harris that he just made a fool out of himself. He also told him to calm his knickers before his dentures fell out and that he writes his own s—t too d—head!
Harris attempted to apologize to Malik telling him it was the quote that got to him and not him personally and that he had a great voice and best of luck. He even laughed at Malik when he tweeted about his dentures falling out.
Swift hasn’t commented about the two arguing on Twitter yet.
