Sammy’s Restaurant & Bar, Part of the Ladeki Restaurant Group which brought Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza to Las Vegas, continues to add to its menu and now offers brunch on the weekend. Opened in Green Valley in 2013, the 8,000-square-foot eatery highlights a 3,000-square-foot living room-style dining area, framed along three sides by floor-to-ceiling windows (that can be opened) and a full bar in the center.
Corporate Executive Chef Jeff Moogk’s new brunch selections offer both traditional and unique menu items. Eggs Benedict can be selected as traditional with Canadian bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce; sautéed artichokes and spinach, poached eggs and tomato hollandaise sauce or sliced salmon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and capers. If in the mood for pancakes, there is buttermilk, lemon and fresh blueberry or banana and walnut.
Brie Cheese Omelet or Scramble is made with brie, roasted mushrooms, and scallions served with roasted fingerling potatoes. Grilled Asparagus Omelet or Scramble includes asparagus, Italian prosciutto, smoked provolone and served with roasted fingerling potatoes.
Its Brioche French Toast is topped with almonds, filled with Orange Di Stefano mascarpone and topped with whipped butter and maple syrup served on the side. Breakfast Tacos are made with flour tortillas, and filled with scrambled eggs, Spanish Chorizo, pepper jack cheese, green chili, salsa Fresca and cilantro. Scottish Smoked Salmon includes shaved onions and capers with toasted bagel, cream cheese and sliced tomato. Adding a taste of Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza, the breakfast Bacon & Mushroom Pizza is topped with egg, tomato, red onion, cheddar and mozzarella.
For indulgence, bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys are available. For specialty cocktails try one of the new brunch cocktails. Raspberry Peach Bellini is made with fresh raspberries, lemon juice, Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach and Prosecco. Royal Mule blends Crown Royal Regal Apple, fresh mint and ginger beer. Eddy’s Greyhound combines Deep Eddy Grapefruit Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower and Tonic. Mojito Italiano is Prosecco, fresh mint, Captain Morgan White Rum and lime juice. Pica Pina is made with Avion Silver Tequila, pineapple juice, lime, agave nectar, Cholula Chipotle hot sauce and Shishito Pepper.
Sammy’s offers menu selections made with local, organic and nutritionally balanced ingredients including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Sammy’s is known for its choices wood-fired and artisan thin crust pizzas.
