Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, emailed the Houston and Brown families, begging for their permission to attend Bobbi Kristina’s August 1 funeral in Georgia.
Gordon, who was recently served with a $10 million lawsuit alleging he beat and robbed Bobbi Kristina, promised not to cause any trouble at Bobbi’s funeral service. In the end, the Brown and Houston families decided not to allow Gordon to attend the funeral.
Nick sent letters to the Brown and Houston families July 30, TMZ reported. “I’m asking you both for your blessing in regards to me attending Krissi’s funeral,” Gordon wrote in the email. “I do not want to cause any trouble or commotion so I’m emailing you privately in advance.”
Nick, who began dating Bobbi Kristina in 2008, told the Houstons and Browns he “needs” to say goodbye to her. “I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” Gordon wrote.
I’m begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there. Please consider this? You are both in my daily prayers.
I know you are suffering. May God bless you both and heal your hearts. God bless, Nick Gordon.”
Now that Bobbi Kristina is dead, Nick has become a person of interest in a homicide investigation. Bobbi Kristina’s family claims Nick punched her in the throat and face, choked and threw her against the wall. Sources say Gordon knocked out Bobbi’s front tooth shortly before she was found face down in her bathtub in January.
Bobbi Kristina’s family blames Nick for supplying the drugs she used before her Jan. 31 drowning. Gordon, who previously lived with Bobbi Kristina in her Georgia townhouse, is currently living in Florida with his mom.
Bobbi Kristina died July 26, four weeks after being placed in hospice care. Family members read a verse from Psalms 23 in the Bible: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” during Brown’s last moments. The group chanted the word “Hallelujah” as Bobbi Kristina drew her last breath.
Tyler Perry Pays For Funeral: Houstons and Browns Are Fighting Over Money
Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina’s funeral has continued to devolve into an absurd circus, as family members are fighting over the details of her funeral service and over the $20 million Bobbi inherited from her mom.
Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, singer Dionne Warwick, is reportedly threatening to boycott the funeral because she’s furious over the frivolous “Sweet 16” theme being planned for the service. “Pat wants to have a Sweet 16 theme funeral but Dionne feels that’s stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina,” said a source.
Bobbi Kristina’s funeral service will take place 11 a.m. ET August 1 at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. Brown will be buried August 3 at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.
After the funeral, Bobbi Kristina’s body will be flown from Georgia to New Jersey on Tyler Perry’s private jet. Bobbi Kristina will be buried in New Jersey next to her late mother, Whitney Houston, who died in 2012.
Tyler Perry has reportedly offered to pay for the funeral in order to “keep the peace” between the Brown and Houston families, who have been feuding over Bobbi’s $20 million inheritance.
