News came out that former “Full House” star Mary-Kate Olsen married long-time love Olivier Sarkozy over Thanksgiving weekend. There hasn’t been an official confirmation from the couple themselves, but Bob Saget revealed on “Today” morning show that his TV daughter is a married woman, according to E! Online.
Saget did not attend the Friday night wedding, but he mentioned that he sent a congratulatory text to Olsen.
I’m very happy. I love her very much. I hope they’re happy.”
The former actress turned fashion designer Olsen met Sarkozy in 2012, and Olsen started wearing an engagement ring in early 2014. This is the first marriage for Olsen, and the second for Sarkozy, who has two children from his first marriage.
The wedding took place in a private NYC residence on November 27. Mary-Kate Olsen’s sisters, Ashley and Elizabeth, were in attendance, but it’s not known if other celebrities were invited. Wedding guests had to turn in their cell phones to prevent photos being taken during the ceremony, according to Page Six. Guests did have a chance to enjoy cocktails, dinner, and “bowls of cigarettes” during the celebration.
Bob Saget is currently starring on Broadway’s “Hand to God” until January. Saget also has a recurring role in the upcoming Netflix series “Fuller House,” a reboot of the popular sitcom “Full House.” Saget will reprise his role as Danny Tanner, while the new series will focus on his eldest daughter D.J.’s family. Most of the original cast will reprise their roles, but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who alternatively played Michelle Tanner, will not make an appearance.
