This last blood moon of 2015 ends what is known as the blood moon tetrad, which is a series of four blood moons within a two year period. History has shown the last blood moon in a tetrad signals a time period of tragedy, according to American evangelical Pastor, John Hagee.
This fourth blood moon in this current tetrad falls on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot next week and coincidentally the first three blood moons in this tetrad fell on Jewish holidays. According to The Times of Israel on September 20, the first three blood moons of the current tetrad fell on following Jewish holidays; “April 15, 2014 (Passover) and October 8, 2014 (Sukkot) and April 4, 2015 (again on Passover).”
Hagee explained that the last three times a blood moon tetrad occurred it brought with it a crisis. He said, “Spain’s expulsion of its Jews and discovery of the New World in 1492, the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, and the Six Day War in 1967.” He claims that when a tetrad occurs there is “a sense in the world that God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way.”
According to the International Business Times, a blood moon tetrad is not all that rare today. “During the 21st century, there are 8 sets of tetrads, explains Fred Espenak, an eclipse expert from NASA. He also said, “I would describe tetrads as a frequent occurrence in the current pattern of lunar eclipses.”
Espenak continues saying, “Lunar tetrads can be somewhat rare” as there were “no lunar tetrads from 1600 to 1900 — but it’s mostly random. From 1901 to 2000, there were five lunar tetrads. The current century — 2001 to 2100 — will see eight lunar tetrads,” which is reported on a website from NASA. This doesn’t seem to coincide with Hagee’s blood moon tetrad numbers.
Hagee’s book “Four Blood Moons: Something is about to Change,” was turned into a movie just in time for the last blood moon of the tetrad approaching. His book describes what the future may hold for the world after the last blood moon arrives. Some Christians believe in the power of the blood moon, as it is discussed a passage in the Book of Joel.
This biblical passage from the “Book of Joel reads, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord comes.” Whether the last blood moon in this current tetrad brings with it something undesirable or not, the moon will still rise in the night sky on September 28. This blood moon is due to a lunar eclipse and it will turn the moon into a blood red color that will last all of 71 minutes.
According to News Max today, NASA reports that this rare blood moon tetrad won’t occur again until the year 2033. That will give the doomsday theorists plenty of time to create their new predictions for the world’s end.
This blood moon’s doomsday predictions will certainly give the “preppers,” the people who prep for the world as we know it to end, a chance for a drill. This doesn’t mean the planet will swallow itself whole, but some believe if today’s technology went into failure, this would offer a catastrophe across the globe. A crisis could come in many forms and with the shape that the world is in today some might even say that this a catastrophe!
