The Bezos Family Foundation has launched a nationwide initiative to help caregivers provide early learning exercises, tips and activities to help us prepare our children for school starting at very early age and at various times and situations you may be in with your child like when they are eating or even while bathing. The Bezos Family Foundation has chosen this initiative, which is called Vroom, based on recent scientific research and the fact caregivers face a lot of impediments, as they nurture their child preparing them for school. At times they become overwhelmed by advice received from many sources and may be unsure if the way they are trying to prepare their child is a good way or not. Vroom is an application for a mobile device which helps caregivers and empowers them by providing daily text messages, a database of about 700 of them, covering a broad range of topics which can be used at various times of the day when you are with your children. Many of the topics have what they call “brainey backgrounds” explaining their scientific nature and intended use.
As Vroom was developed they integrated advice from caregivers and the technological platforms most of us already have i.e., cell phones and tablets. We are all born with the ability to do basically anything in life, we just need some guidance and sometimes a little boost in getting there and the earlier the better from what research has shown us. Many times we are not raised thinking of our potential. We are raised as our caregivers were taught and so on. Many times caregivers are limited in their teaching abilities due to many issues, i.e., maybe they were not given good guidance, their education is limited, or they were never provided the materials they need to raise a child keeping up with modern technology and educational requirements. Some just need to get the right resources or proven methods to utilize. If you do not have a mobile device you can download flash cards and the other resources you need from their website by clicking here.
Vroom is trying to partner with as many communities and organizations as it can, around the country to give caregivers the opportunity to prepare their children for the ever changing world of education in our schools while keeping up with modern technology. Whether they receive the program at home or from a clinic, an organization they receive services or from the store they shop, they will have a definite advantage as those school days begin knowing they have attempted to provide their child with as much current information as possible. They can rest comfortable knowing they are giving them the opportunity to be anything and do anything in life they choose.
Signing up for Vroom is free to include updates to keep the information current.
