On Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m., the Birmingham Originals return to present their 3rd Annual Beer Dinner in the Ballpark at Regions Field during a Birmingham Barons game to raise funds and awareness for the Autism Society of Alabama.
For the third straight year, Birmingham Originals restaurants and Alabama breweries are bringing a truly unique experience to both food and craft beer lovers with their annual Beer Dinner in the Ballpark. During this event, attendees get to enjoy a wonderful meal in the Regions Field banquet hall overlooking third base while our Birmingham Barons take on the Chattanooga Lookouts. This high end, multi-course dinner will be prepared by the following Birmingham Originals restaurants:
- Bellini’s Ristorante
- The Bright Star
- Cantina Tortilla Grill
- Homewood Gourmet
- The J. Clyde
- JoJo’s on Broadway
- Little Savannah
- The Silvertron Cafe
Each course will be expertly paired with a local craft beer offering to properly complement and accentuate the nuances of the dish. Participating breweries are as follows:
- Avondale Brewing Co. (Birmingham)
- Back Forty Beer Co. (Gadsden)
- Cahaba Brewing Co. (Birmingham)
- Good People Brewing Company (Birmingham)
- Fairhope Brewing Company (Fairhope)
- Trim Tab Brewing Company (Birmingham)
Throughout the event, attendees will also hear from the chefs and brewers to learn more about each pairing, restaurant and brewery.
Seating for this dinner is extremely limited. Tickets are still currently available in the following two options (secure your tickets by clicking here):
- $75 (plus fees) per person, includes a $10 Birmingham Originals gift card
- $100 (plus fees) per person, includes a $50 Birmingham Originals gift card
Your ticket gets you admission into the game, a seat to enjoy the dinner and craft beer pairings, and the corresponding Birmingham Originals gift card. A portion of the proceeds raised through ticket sales will go to benefit the Autism Society of Alabama, a volunteer organization with a mission to improve services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through education and advocacy.
This is easily one of the best beer dinners to take place in the state each year, and it is made that much better by benefiting the incredibly worthy cause of the Autism Society of Alabama. If you are free on Thursday, do yourself a favor and buy a ticket, enjoy an amazing meal, explore the art of beer pairing, and cheer on your Birmingham Barons. You simply cannot go wrong with an evening like that. Prost!
