It’s the perfect venue to showcase our new line and reach out to fans through our positivity and creativity. Our apparel is a perfect blend of pop culture and fearless style!”
Awesome Con Founder, Ben Penrod recently spoke with 411mania.com about the origins of the event saying, “I had been traveling to a lot of conventions as a comic seller, and in 2011 I launched the Annapolis Comic-Con with Steve Anderson, the owner of Third Eye Comics. The cons in Annapolis were doing well and people were asking us why there wasn’t a con in DC! So we put two and two together and started Awesome Con!” When asked about which celebrity he’d like to see attend he said, ” I’d really love to bring Peter Dinklage to Awesome Con, but I don’t think he is interested in doing cons. We talk with everyone and I don’t think there’s any one guest who is “too big” for Awesome Con. If they’re willing to do cons, I would expect to see just about anyone at Awesome Con if they can work it into their schedule.”
Tickets will be on sale at the door, but you can also purchase them in advance. Kids under 10 get in for free with an adult admission.
