North America, beware because it looks like the British are coming. On Monday (Sept. 21), Asking Alexandria announced they will be joining Bullet for My Valentine on their upcoming North American tour scheduled to take place in early 2016. The tour has fittingly been named “The British Invasion Tour,” a direct reference to the fact that Bullet for My Valentine formed in Wales while Asking Alexandria call England home.
The tour will officially kick off on Feb. 2 at the House of Blues in San Diego and wrap up a month or so later on March 7 at Metropolis in Montreal. Tickets for the shows will go on sale beginning this Friday, Sept. 25. Asking Alexandria has had a rather full 2015. Back in January, frontman Danny Worsnop announced he had departed the band to put all his focus on his then-side project, We Are Harlot. After that, the group quietly enlisted a new singer in the form of Denis Stoff, formerly of Ukrainian metalcore band Make Me Famous. Stoff made his official debut stateside during this past summer’s Vans Warped Tour. In addition to headlining Warped Tour’s UK installment, Asking Alexandria will be heading out on their own UK/European headlining tour in October.
As for Bullet for My Valentine, the Welsh band spent their summer opening for Slipknot and Lamb of God on the metal bands’ joint “Summer’s Last Stand Tour.” They also released their fifth studio album, Venom, back in August.
