With a museum and a street to his name in his native Spain, Dominguez de Haro started painting at the tender age of 16 and since then he has not stopped, now in his 80’s and for the first time in Miami after a 30 year absence from American soil, he is showcasing his work at the Four Seasons Hotel from Nov 30 to Dec 6.
“It is with great pleasure that I am bringing my art to the U.S. during Art Basel Miami,” states Dominguez de Haro. “Four Seasons Hotel Miami is an ideal setting to showcase my work, which is derived from my scuba diving journeys into the bottom of the sea as well as my personal sojourn into the depths of my own psyche.”
Dominguez de Haro focuses in bringing to life underwater scenes from his scuba diving trips with incredible passion and fluidity that is fascinating to the eye. His love for the fauna and flora from the sea is perfectly depicted in his work which awakens awareness to the ecological conservation of our oceans.
“Four Seasons is thrilled to sponsor such a revered and talented artist,” states Dan Normandin, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Miami. “Our location in the Brickell entertainment and dining district, near Downtown Miami, allows for visitors to escape the hustle of South Beach while still experiencing all that Art Basel Miami has to offer.”
