Oliver: “She said she missed you, and then she texted me one of those emojis with the single tear.”

Sara came back to life and got her soul restored, and then next thing we know, she’s back out in the field. Okay…no reunion with anyone, no indication that anyone other than Laurel and Thea are concerned for her. There was a reference to Thea and Sara talking, but we never saw that scene. This was a huge let down.
Basically, all we saw was the pit start to affect Sara, which we knew was coming. We went through this with Thea. That’s not what is interesting about Sara returning from the dead. What’s interesting is seeing her reunite with everyone. Sara coming back to life had a lot of emotional repercussions, so let’s explore those emotions with everyone, not just her family members.
While it’s full steam ahead Olicity, Sara and Oliver not only dated, but they went through hell together on that freighter and on the island. They’ve been through so much, and so it was ridiculous that we did not spend any time with the two of them alone or even showed any sort of reunion between the two of them. We didn’t get to see Oliver react to Sara’s return, and Oliver could have definitely been someone that Sara opened up to about how she was doing.
Speaking of which, we don’t really get much of an indication as to how Sara is doing or if there were any side effects from Constantine restoring her soul. There was a moment where it seems like Sara doesn’t have all of her memories, but that was it. And now of course she’s leaving, which makes the whole lack of focus on Sara even more annoying. What are your Sara thoughts?
It’s always great to see Donna again. She is just so much fun to watch. Even though we didn’t really see a lot of her relationship with Oliver, we heard a lot about it. They are texting buddies, which is all sorts of adorable. Do you think Oliver uses emojis in his texts?
Donna was a great way to bring out the more domestic side of Olicity. It’s not like the team ever goes over to Oliver’s for dinner, so we don’t get to see much of Oliver and Felicity off the clock. It was great to see more of their home life. Oliver and Felicity bickering in front of Diggle was so amusing.
