Earlier this week, Obsidian Entertainment and My.com announced that its multiplayer tank combat game, “Armored Warfare,” would be making the shift from its closed beta test phase, to open beta, starting next Thursday.
As “Armored Warfare” enters its open beta stage, and more gamers join the fray, players will be able to choose from over sixty modern combat vehicles, broken up into a variety of categories, including main battle tank, tank destroyer, artillery, armored fighting vehicle, and light tank. The PvE mode will have players joining forces against computer controlled enemies, as they take on missions spanning twenty-five specially designed maps. PvP fans won’t be left out either, as nine unique maps will be available to choose from, ranging from refineries in the desert to airbases in the forest, as well as a tropical island paradise, and even an abandoned snowy town. All of the progress players make, as well as items purchased, in the open beta will carry over into the game’s full release.
A new trailer for the title is available up top and gamers can expect to see “Armored Warfare” switch to open beta beginning on Oct. 8, 2015. Founder’s Pack purchasers will be able to get a little head start, with access for them beginning on Oct. 1, 2015. You can sign up for the open beta, purchase a Founder’s Pack, or just learn more about “Armored Warfare,” by visiting the game’s official site.
