Jennifer Aniston loves tanning and the gorgeously bronzed skin that results. But the actress confessed that because she’s dedicated to health as well as beauty, she’s now numbering tanning protection among her top beauty tips, reported People on June 10.
The famous fashionista couldn’t choose between ranking great skin and glowing hair as her priority. So she decided to have it all by becoming the brand ambassador for Aveeno and the co-owner of Living Proof, which is dedicated to helping everyone achieve fashionably fabulous hair.
At 46, Aniston has learned what it takes to get ready for the red carpet. But Jennifer also admits that when she doesn’t have to step in front of all those photographers, she prefers simplicity. A bonus: Boyfriend Justin Theroux likes her with a fashionably fresh look rather than the old-fashioned Hollywood caked-on makeup.
“I’m less attached to [makeup] now. And Justin [Theroux] loves me without,” revealed Aniston. However, Justin also appreciates it when Jen gets glam.
“He likes it when I smoke up my eyes!” shared the always beautiful actress. But it takes work to maintain that beauty. And while some of it is from the outside, Jennifer says that drinking water is an essential stay-gorgeous tip.
“I drink water endlessly. Like five [bottles] a day. Now it’s just such habit. There are so many lazy water drinkers!”
In addition, Aniston revealed that she feels great when she sees women who are older and fabulous, whether they’re creating their own fashion trends or baring glowing skin. She scoffs at the idea that as women get older, they should sit on the sidelines.
“We’re going to feel good about ourselves if we see another woman who is 50 and rocking it,” said Jennifer. If society is telling you to sit it out after 40, you diminish yourself. Believe what you feel. If you feel crappy about yourself, it’s going to show.”
However, Aniston emphasizes that she’s not perfect. In fact, she confessed that she had to give herself a “tanning intervention” after almost damaging her skin permanently from too much sun, reported Enstarz on June 10.
And Jennifer also admitted that she rarely used sunscreen when she was growing up. But she’s learned her lesson, and now Aniston relies on tanning protection.
“I gave myself a sun-tanning intervention a few years ago, where I was basically saying, ‘Let’s just quit while we’re ahead.’ I was not great as a kid with sunscreen,” said Jennifer. “That’s one of my big regrets. Now I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15.”
